Below is some information to help get settled into the community:

  • Each apartment complex in the community has a designated Vice President on the Shul’s board.  Your vice president (VP) is available to help you with anything you might need, as you get acclimated to the area.  You can contact them via the following email (

    • VP of Outside apartments (includes any apartments other than listed above): Shira Russell-Giller
  • The general entrance to TABC, where we daven, is on Queen Anne Rd. Once through the double blue doors on Queen Anne, the shul is located on the 2nd floor which you can access by the stairway right when you walk in off of the Queen Anne Rd entrance.  If you have a stroller you may enter through the Amsterdam Avenue entrance.
    • Note: Bathrooms are located near the Amsterdam Avenue entrance, close to the lunchroom on the first floor. The bathrooms upstairs contain sensors (lights, sinks & toilets) and are muktzah. It is advised not to use these bathrooms on Shabbos.
  • We invite you to explore this website for a lot of valuable information.  Some of this information includes: a listing of the Board and contact information, Rabbi Yehuda Halpert's contact information, the neighborhood mikvah's information, davening times, announcements, the weekly bulletin, etc. 
  • We are building a member directory on our website Please take a minute to visit the site and click "New User: Register Now" at the top of the page. By following the prompts, you can input whatever contact information you would like to share with the community. The process will take you five minutes or less. Once you are registered and receive approval from the webmaster, you can log in and select "Accounts" from the drop-down menu at the top to view other members contact information.
  • Congregation Ahavat Shalom also has a Facebook Group you can access. You can search for "Congregation Ahavat Shalom - Teaneck Apartments"
